Navigation: People | Lifecycle | Performance | Performance cards catalogue
Once you've navigated to the Performance bubble in People | Lifecycle, select the Performance cards catalogue bubble. This will take you to a catalogue of all the cards that have been created already.
If this is your first time creating a card in Jemini, the catalogue may be empty.
How to add a card
To create a new card, select the Add card button at the top right of the page. This will open the ADD PERFORMANCE CARD panel on the right.
- Enter the NAME of your Performance card and a DESCRIPTION if you wish.
- Select the CARD RATING TYPE backpack to choose the type of rating you want to use - whether it's using a standard star rating or a colour indicator.
- Select and choose WHO CAN ADD CARD RATINGS, WHO CAN CHANGE THE WEIGHTING TO THIS CARD, WHO CAN ADD CARD NOTES, WHO CAN ADD ATTACHMENTS, WHO CAN ADD LINKS and WHO CAN'T SEE THIS CARD. These backpacks allow you to manage what the Employee sees and what the Manager sees. Make sure you select the Submit icon at the bottom right of each backpack to save your selection.
- Expand the GOALS section.
- Select whether ADDITIONAL GOALS CAN BE ADDED and whether to APPLY WEIGHTING TO GOALS.
NOTE: Selecting No won't apply a weighting to the goals. Selecting Variable weighting will apply the desired weighting to each goal. - Select and choose WHO CAN'T SEE THE GOALS, WHO CAN ADD A RATING TO EACH GOAL, and WHO CAN ADD NOTES TO EACH GOAL.
- Once you have selected the general goal settings, you can enter each goal by selecting Add a goal. Under GOAL, type the name of your goal, then enter the DESCRIPTION.
- Once you enter the name of the goal, it'll automatically save. You can continue to add more goals by selecting Add a goal again. Or you can minimise the Goals window by selecting the minimiser arrows icon at the panel's top right.
- Under Settings, choose the card's weighting by dragging the blue circle along the horizontal bar.
- Select the card's ACTIVE status. Changing the status to No will prevent the card from appearing in an Employee's or Manager's Card catalogue until you activate it.
- Save your changes by selecting the Submit icon.
What's a Rating type?
If you already have cards in your catalogue, you'll see each card has a rating type: either a star or a coloured circle. You can choose a rating type when you add a card.
A Star Rating allows Managers and Employees to rate the Employee's performance out of five stars.
A Colour Indicator allows Managers and Employees to rate the Employee's performance using different colours to represent different levels of achievement. There are four colours: Red, Orange, Green and Blue.
What's a Weighting?
Adjusting the weighting of a goal allows you to increase or decrease the value a goal has towards the overall rating of a card. For example, if you choose a goal in a card that uses star ratings and set the goal to a 50% weighting, it will only count towards 2.5 of the 5 stars.
What to do once you've created your cards
Once you've created your cards you'll want to add them to Groups. Navigate to the Groups catalogue by selecting the Groups catalogue button at the top left of the Performance cards catalogue screen, then follow the Adding a Performance group instructions.
