Business Leave - Getting Started

Why use Business Leave?

Use Business Leave to configure employee leave that’s paid but not deducted from their leave balances

For some businesses, the three days between Christmas and New Year's holidays are required leave, paid, and not deducted from employee leave balances. For example, New Zealand government departments refer to this as ‘Departmental Days.’ Other businesses also implement similar leave days with flexible dates. Business Leave allows employees to take time off without affecting their leave balance or pay. No leave request is required.

Give your employees the opportunity of choice to increase productivity and enjoyment in the workplace

Business Leave allows employees to take time off during business shutdowns without using their annual leave, giving them more control over when they take a holiday. When employees have greater control over their schedules, they often experience higher job satisfaction and well-being. By implementing Business Leave, you offer them a needed break without limiting their flexibility.

How it works in Jemini

You can set up Business Leave in the Holidays bubble (previously called Public Holidays). Once configured, Jemini will then automatically account for Business Leave days. This means employees won’t need to submit separate leave requests for these days.
