How to create Pay Core Tables

In Pay core tables, you can set up Pay Levels and Rate Codes. These will link back to how an employee is paid and are useful when setting up an Employment Agreement.

How to add a Pay Level

TIP

In the below instructions, the pay levels example will be called Steps.

  1. Go to Pay | Pay core tables.
  2. Select Pay Level under controls.
  3. Select Add Card. The ADD PAY LEVEL panel will open.
  4. Enter the pay level NAME (for example, Step 1).
  5. Enter the pay level CODE (for example, S1).
  6. Make sure the ACTIVE status is set to Yes.
  7. Select the Submit icon to save and close the panel.
  8. Repeat instructions 1-7 for extra steps as required.

How to add a Rate Code

Rate codes are linked to transactions.
Jemini can't have two people sitting in two positions, so use this function for employees who get paid different rates for different roles.

TIP

In the below instructions, the rate code example will be for after hours work. You can create as many rate codes for different roles as you like.

  1. Go to Pay | Pay core tables.
  2. Select Rate Code under controls.
  3. Select Add Card. The ADD RATE CODE panel will open.
  4. Enter the rate code NAME (for example, After hours).
  5. Enter the rate code CODE (for example, AH).
  6. Make sure the ACTIVE status is set to Yes.
  7. Select the Submit icon to save and close the panel.
  8. Repeat instructions 1-7 for extra rate codes as required.
