To give an employee access to their KiwiSaver records in Your Jemini:

  1. Go to System | Security profiles.
  2. Open the Employee Security Profile.
  3. In Permissions, scroll down and expand Your Jemini | Employee Details to find KiwiSaver permissions.
  4. Tick the View, Add, Change and Delete boxes for KiwiSaver.

NOTE: The delete option is available for KiwiSaver and Super Fund, but not necessary, as employees can't delete these records at this time.



The KiwiSaver bubble in Your Jemini allows you to manage your KiwiSaver records.

KiwiSaver is a voluntary savings scheme in New Zealand. If you're a member of KiwiSaver, you can have contributions automatically deducted from your pay. Your employer will also make contributions to your KiwiSaver.

Below are instructions for adding, editing, and deleting a KiwiSaver record. When you add, edit, or delete a KiwiSaver record, it triggers the creation, end date, or deletion of the connected pay transactions that contribute towards your KiwiSaver.

How to add a KiwiSaver record

  1. Go to Your Jemini | KiwiSaver. The dated KIWISAVER panel will open.
  2. Select Add a KiwiSaver record. The ADD KIWISAVER panel will open.
  3. Enter the START DATE. The START DATE will be autofilled with the first available pay cycle start date, but can be changed if your KiwiSaver start date is later than then.
  4. (Optional): Enter the END DATE if required.
  5. The EMPLOYEE HAS A NON-KIWISAVER SUPERANNUATION SCHEME will be greyed out and can only be edited by your employer. If you have a non-kiwisaver superannuation scheme, please tell your employer so that they can unlock the Super Fund bubble for you to enter your Super Fund records.
  6. Choose your KiwiSaver STATUS from the roller list. If you select Opt In as the STATUS, complete the following steps:
    1. Set MEMBER STATUS to New member or Current member.
      • Set to New member if you have a brand new KiwiSaver account.
      • Set to Current member if you already have a KiwiSaver account.
    2. Choose the EMPLOYEE CONTRIBUTION RATE from the roller list. The amount you choose will be the percentage deducted from your gross pay.
    3. The EMPLOYER CONTRIBUTION RATE will be greyed out and can only be edited by your employer.
TIP

Your employer must contribute 3% of your gross salary or wage to your KiwiSaver account by law. They have the option to contribute more if they want to.
They don't have to make compulsory employer contributions if you're under 18 or when you've reached the age of 65.

  1. The PAY THE ESCT ON BEHALF OF THE EMPLOYEE will be greyed out and can only be edited by your employer.
  2. (Optional): Complete the Content section by adding ATTACHMENTS or LINKS if required. This could include supporting information, such as the KiwiSaver form supplied by the IRD.
  3. (Optional): Enter NOTES related to your KiwiSaver record if required.
  4. Select the {{glossary.Green Tick Button}} to save and close the ADD KIWISAVER panel. You'll see the new KiwiSaver record added to the CURRENT section of the dated KIWISAVER panel.
  5. You may now close the dated KIWISAVER panel.

How to edit a KiwiSaver record

  1. Go to Your Jemini | KiwiSaver. The dated KIWISAVER panel will open.
  2. Select Update KiwiSaver record. The ADD KIWISAVER panel will open.
  3. Enter the START DATE The START DATE will be autofilled with the first available pay cycle start date, but can be changed if your KiwiSaver start date is later than then.
  4. (Optional): Enter the END DATE if required.
  5. The EMPLOYEE HAS A NON-KIWISAVER SUPERANNUATION SCHEME will be greyed out and can only be edited by your employer. If you have a non-kiwisaver superannuation scheme, please tell your employer so that they can unlock the Super Fund bubble for you to enter your Super Fund records.
  6. Choose your KiwiSaver STATUS from the roller list. If you select Opt In as the STATUS, complete the following steps:

  5. You may now close the dated KIWISAVER panel.

How to delete a KiwiSaver record

In Your Jemini, you can't delete KiwiSaver records yourself. Please get in touch with your HR manager or system administrator for assistance if you need to delete your KiwiSaver record.
