  • Access any other learning documents, videos, links or files

To navigate to your employee's upskilling:

  1. Select People, then Employee
  2. Choose the employee you'd like to manage
  3. Choose Lifecycle, then Upskilling
TIP

When you first open Upskilling, you'll arrive at the landing page. This is called the Tasks view.

Tasks view

Once you've selected the Upskilling bubble, you'll come to your Employee's Upskilling landing page, called the Tasks view. This is where you can manage and update your employee's Upskilling courses.

TIP

Below the View Type buttons, there are some filter options. You can filter by a specific course or curriculum that you employee's enrolled in if you need to.

Delivery Types

Here are some more details on the different types of courses. Note your company may not have all of these delivery types configured.

Instructor led

These courses will be led by a trainer. Employees will be able to choose a session from the list of what’s available. If there is a course that requires your approval, you’ll see Pending on the panel under approval.

Webinar

These courses are all based online. Employees will be able to choose a session from the list of what’s available. If there is a course that requires your approval, you’ll see Pending on the panel under approval.

Independent

These courses Employees will undertake on their own. Employees need to acknowledge that they’ve read the course content before they can complete the course.

On the job training

These courses allow your employee to complete multiple course tasks over any given time. Some tasks may need to be completed by you as the manager. Open the Course Tasks in the panel to view the tasks and complete them. Both you and your employee will need to complete all of the tasks to complete the course including adding attachments, links or a signature. Some tasks may ask your employee to acknowledge they have read the task content. Some tasks will be accessible only to you, your employee, or both of you.

eLearning

These courses are all based online. Employees will be able to access a course from the panel (they will need to select the Open button). Your company may not have eLearning courses configured.

Curriculum

A curriculum is a group of courses. If your employee is assigned a curriculum, all courses within that curriculum need to be completed for that programme of learning. Some curriculum may be used to group courses of a similar nature together.

Tags

You can view colour-coded course Tags on cards within your employee's Tasks view and Course catalogue. Tags can be used to categorise different types of courses.

Changing your View

Under Controls (top left of your screen), there's a section called View Type. Here there are two icons you can use to change your view from Tasks to Insights.

Insights View

The Insights view is a read-only dashboard that gives you an overview of your employee's Upskilling details.
Employee Upskilling Dashboard

TIP:

Some features may not show on the dashboard. This depends on what courses have been assigned to the Employee and the course settings. If the Employee hasn't had any courses assigned to them, their dashboard will be blank.
