Who can benefit from this guide?

This guide is for payroll managers who are responsible for setting range-based tables to automatically calculate salary deductions or pay allowances based on range parameters, such as salary bands or number hours worked. It covers how to navigate to Range Tables, and understanding the view types and filters.

If you need access to Range Tables, please speak to your system administrator or raise an iHelp through Infusion.

What you’ll find in this guide

  1. Navigating to Range Tables

  2. Range table view types and filters

Navigating to Range Tables

Go to Pay > Pay Core & Range Tables > Range Tables to open the application.

TIP

We’ve renamed the Pay Core Tables bubble to Pay Core & Range Tables. In this bubble, you can find the existing Core Tables bubble and the new Range Tables bubble. (This name change only happens when you unlock Range Tables in Security Profile Permissions).

If no range tables exist, you’ll see an ‘Add a range table’ button in the middle of the view. Select this button to start adding range tables.

If range tables are already added, you can view them in the current, forecast, historical and incomplete views. Use the ‘Add table’ button to add new range tables.

Range Table view types and filters

Within the Range Tables bubble, you can view the tables by:

  • Current (default)

  • Forecast

  • Historical

    • The historical table view’s default date range is automatically set in the filter to one year past today’s date. Change the ‘FROM DATE’ to view tables earlier than one year ago.

  • Incomplete

    • The incomplete table view contains tables that lack date range details and need updating. This view will only display if there are incomplete tables.

In each view you can filter by:

  • Entering a table name or code

  • Selecting a range table type:

    • Full-Time Equivalent Salary

    • Actual Annual Salary

    • Hourly Rate

    • Pay Level

    • Gross Earning per Pay Cycle

    • Standard Earnings per Pay Cycle

    • Hours Worked per Pay Cycle

    • Days Worked per Pay Cycle

  • Entering a date range
