To guide you in creating New Zealand leave plans, we thought we'd share some of the common leave plan setups for these leave types:

Annual Leave

Key settings for Annual Leave:

  • LEAVE TYPE: Annual Leave
  • HAS A BALANCE: Yes
  • Entitlement rules:
    • ENTITLEMENT GRANTED: Anniversary date
    • ENTITLEMENT AMOUNT: 4.00
    • ENTITLEMENT UNITS: Weeks

Sick Leave

Key settings for Sick Leave:

  • LEAVE TYPE: Sick Leave
  • AVAILABLE TO ALL: No
  • HAS A BALANCE: Yes
  • Entitlement rules:
    • ENTITLEMENT GRANTED: Service duration
    • ENTITLEMENT AMOUNT: 10
    • ENTITLEMENT UNITS: Days
    • DURATION IN YEARS: 0.50
    • MAXIMUM CARRY OVER BALANCE: 20
  • Sub-entitlement rules:
    • SUB-ENTITLEMENT GRANTED: Service duration
    • SUB-ENTITLEMENT AMOUNT: 10
    • SUB-ENTITLEMENT UNITS: Days
    • SUB-DURATION IN YEARS: 1

Alternative Holiday
